Harris & Ross, formed in 2004, grew from the desire to be able to bring the same level of care provided to elite athletes to the general public; bridging the gap between how professional sports people were being treated and what was available to everyone else.
Many of the team hail from the elite sports world and bring their experience and skillset to the table, welcoming ALL who come through our clinic doors.
All of our physiotherapists are HCPC registered and CSP members.
As well as the Wilmslow clinic, we also have clinics in:
Manchester, at 10 St John Street, Deansgate, Manchester M3 4DY.
Altrincham, at Harris & Ross Altrincham, Total Fitness, Altrincham WA14 2DE

4 weeks agoI've had the benefit (or misfortune depending on perspective) of seeing several fantastic members of the H&R team here over the years and without exception everyone has been a credit to the practice - would highly recommend! In particular (based on most time/sessions) the following have really helped me: Andy took 5 minutes in our first meeting to (correctly) diagnose my chronic knee pain where a consultant with the benefit of an MRI scan had failed and wanted to undertake surgery. Andy clearly knows his stuff and is a genuinely lovely chap as well and I'm eternally grateful for him helping me avoid surgery. Ellie is also really lovely and certainly knows her stuff when it comes to shoulders. She has been brilliant rehabilitating my shoulder post-op and has given me the confidence and tools to push on - thank you!

4 months agoI’ve been coming in for the past 2 months to see Ellie for help with my post op physio for a shoulder op I had in January. I have only good things to say about Harris and Ross as well as Ellie. Ellie is an excellent physio, truly a master in her field of shoulders and I really love our sessions - she’s so knowledgeable!! As an elite athlete I appreciate how we’ve been able to move at a great pace, and I feel like every session I’m improving. The clinic itself is great, very clean and tidy and easy to locate with great parking! The website is easy to locate and easy to book a session too. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for physio.

4 weeks agoI went to another physio because pain and loss of strength in both shoulders for 3 months and didn’t see any improvement. A scan indicated retracted tears to rotor cuffs on both sides. Surgery didn’t look promising - a depressing situation! Before going under the knife my consultant recommended I try physio with Ellie Richardson, who he said has a lot of expertise in shoulders. He was right! Ellie was just what I needed. 6 months later pain has reduced by c. 80%, strength has returned and there are now very few remaining restrictions. I'm really pleased, so thank you to Ellie and I hope this helps anyone in a similar situation. More generally, the clinic is very well equipped, clean and everything you could wish for.

a month agoMy son has been coming to H&R for the past 2 years to see Ellie for help with his recovery from his shoulder injuries. In between these injuries he has had a hip injury and saw Andy for this. I have only good things to say about both Ellie and Andy. Ellie is an excellent shoulder physio, and both my son and I are very pleased with her work. My son is now in really great shape in both shoulders! Andy too is excellent and has sorted out my son’s hip injury completely – no issues at all running and sprinting. And this bit is stolen from another review – because I totally agree: the clinic itself is great, very clean and tidy and easy to locate with great parking. The website is easy to locate and it is easy to book a session too. Would highly recommend Ellie, Andy and the H&R team to anyone looking for physio.

6 months agoCame specifically to see Ellie Richardson after fracturing my shoulder trail running. Extremely thorough assessment and treatment plan. This has enabled me to know exactly what I can and can’t do at different stages of fracture healing. Loved her holistic approach and the understanding of running, and my desire to get back as quickly as possible ! As a physiotherapist myself, I am probably more critical. I would highly recommend seeing Ellie. Thank you
