2 months agoI attended Jill Johnson's annual Summer School (always at the end of June) and once again had a brilliant time. Jill is an exceptional teacher. She invites you to reach and push just a bit further each time without you quite realising how or where or why until quietly, softly and safely you discover new places in your mind and body, that somehow changes everything. These are quiet, revelatory experiences of self acceptance and love. Jill's weekly classes always contain moments like this. To have a whole weekend in which to take the time to warm up slowly and begin again, the timeless experience of the yoga journey ... it's a gift. Thank you.

2 months agoI have been attending Cheshire Yoga for only a few months and have received such a warm welcome and encouragement to develop my confidence in Iyengar yoga having practiced Vinyasa flow for many years. Jill is very experienced teacher and her attention to detail with every student during the classes is amazing. She provides calm and supportive instruction. I’m confident that I will continue to improve and thoroughly enjoy the classes. Come along and you’ll be made welcome.

8 months agoI have been attending Yoga classes at Cheshire Yoga since it opened. The studio is warm and inviting. The equipment (and particularly the ropes) is fantastic. The range of classes on offer (times/days/courses/single classes/workshops etc) is excellent. The participants attending the classes are always friendly and the atmosphere is very inclusive. Best of all (and the reason for my ever growing respect and appreciation of Iyengar Yoga) are the Instructors. Andrea’s passion for Iyengar Yoga is evident in every class I attend. Her warmth, humour and encouragement shines through. Every class is well planned and unique with a slightly different focus each week. Andrea makes me feel comfortable and reassured whilst at the same time offers a challenge so that my yoga practice is ever expanding. Thank you Cheshire Yoga and Andrea for bringing Iyengar Yoga and its many benefits into my life.

11 months agoThis is the most wonderful and welcoming studio. I really enjoy the friendly atmosphere of classes where you never feel shy to give something a try. The teachers pay a lot of attention to everyone in the class doing the posture with good form and it's great to watch everyone improving over each term. The teachers know every student in their class by name and by anatomy. I have several key areas for improvement which Cheshire Yoga have helped me to identify and then provided cues for in every class. This has really helped me become more aware of how to self correct and meant I can even take the practice outside the studio and have better posture in daily life and when doing other forms of exercise. Since starting classes regularly over a year ago I have noticed a lot less pain in my lower back, hips and knees when running and a huge improvement in the awareness I have of my body. This combined with the breathing techniques I've been taught mean I also have a much better capability for dealing with stress at work or in general life! I also found the summer school brilliant and I cannot recommend the classes here enough!
