Kate Knox – The Alternative OT; Holistic Occupational therapist, well-being life coach and energy worker.
Holistic Occupational Therapist and Well-being coach.
Occupation = meaningful activity. An activity that helps gives your life meaning and purpose.
I am also a well-being coach and energy healing practitioner with a passion for supporting you to live the life that lights you up and gives you a sense of purpose.
Holistic Occupational Therapy – supporting clients return to participating in the activities, roles and relationships which are meaningful to them, post illness, injury or life-changing events.
Well-being life coaching – Supporting my clients to understand their values, motivations and strengths which will help them to make positive life changes, grow in confidence and prioritise their well-being and happiness.
Reiki and sound healing – Support your body’s own ability to heal itself. Be held by the relaxing energies of reiki, sound and vibration to return home to a place of inner peace and innate wisdom. Grow in confidence in your connection to and awareness of the Divine space within and around you.
I draw on my clinical skills to explore and understand how someone is currently participating in their life to assess and rehabilitate following a significant change in their circumstances.
I am committed to help gently guide you to a sense of confidence to take on challenges, remember your innate power and wisdom and your birthright to live a purposeful and meaningful life. I have a keen interest of how illness, injury and difficult or stressful life events can impact our sense of identity, self-confidence and relationships with our inner selves and the world around us.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Who do you work with?
Those struggling to identify with, prioritise or participate in activities, dreams, plans and goals that are meaningful to them.
If you have difficulty in gaining momentum or direction with a project or something else that is important to you or feel unable to do what is important to you.
What is it you offer?
Holistic Occupational therapy and well-being coaching. I am also a Reiki practitioner, and I am trained in using sound as a healing modality. I work 1:1 and with groups. I offer in person work (dependant on location) and remote appointments. My work is devoted to supporting individuals to find and develop their connection to their inner strength and wisdom – in order to feel confident in their gifts, abilities and true purpose.
Why should I work with you?
Holistic OT and well-being coaching each offer something unique — and powerful when combined. OT is a regulated health profession that supports people to overcome barriers created by illness, disability, or life environment so they can fully participate in meaningful daily life.
Well-being coaching is non-clinical and future-focused, helping people connect with their values, goals, and sense of purpose to create a more aligned and fulfilling life. Within my service, I bring these approaches together grounding clients in evidence-based OT strategies to restore participation, while using coaching to expand into growth, spirituality, and possibility. This blend means I can support both the practical and the soulful aspects of living well.
What is an occupational therapist
A qualified and HCPC regulated Health professional.
Occupation = meaningful activity. An activity that helps gives your life meaning and purpose.
OT supports people to engage in meaningful activities (occupations) despite illness, injury, or disability with a fucus on Function, participation, and independence, considering the whole person (physical, cognitive, emotional, social, and spiritual).
Do I not need to be unwell or classed as having a disability to benefit from your service?
Answer: No! Absolutely not. My skills as an OT are benefit to anyone who is struggling to access the occupations (meaningful activities, relationships or roles) that they would like to participate more in to feel a sense of fulfilment in life.
